Heritage and values: a stellar destiny

Amandine & Jean-Michel Carrette

Jean-Michel Carrette and his wife Amandine acquired the property, previously run by Michel and Henriette Carrette, Jean-Michel's parents, whose work had garnered a Michelin star in 1999. They work to continue this family tradition of hospitality, driven by a desire to create a property which reflects their values: a dynamic, welcoming, inviting place, displaying a love of nature and real concern for the environment.

Guests will be transported by the creative energy of dishes produced by Jean-Michel, a chef whose intense interest in haute cuisine dates back to his childhood. He innovates to create truly daring combinations: traditional recipes mix with unexpected flavours for remarkable, delicious results.

Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant

The art of the nomadic palate

The cuisine at Les Terrasses isn't something you talk about or write about; it's something you experience. It's geographical, topographical.

With his hands firmly planted in his local soil and his mind turned towards the oceans, Jean-Michel Carrette offers us dishes woven from the flavors of Seille, Montret, Bligny-sur-Ouche, London, and Kyoto.

He invites you on a new exploration, from the most familiar to the most exotic flavors, through a cuisine that is simple yet never simplistic; sophisticated yet never affected.

Come celebrate life's great and small joys around a table adorned with rare, unique, natural wines from Burgundy, the Jura, and beyond.

Closing soon for renovations, open to ideas!

The hotel and the restaurant will close their doors on 18 October 2026. Three months of building work, dust and plans.

We'll be back with a warmer, more welcoming version of the fine-dining room and the bedrooms you know — and Comptoir Michel, right next door. The cellar wide open, my father's dishes, and plates to share: freer, a little more rough-and-ready.

Reopening around 20 January 2027.

In the meantime, our gift voucher shop stays open: a dinner, a night — give it now, enjoy it when we're back.
